Welcome to the website of Fred Kinbom! Here you can find music, photos, concert dates, videos etc. of lap steel slide guitarist, songwriter and singer Fred Kinbom.

Fred's whole perception of music-making changed when he discovered his passion for acoustic lap slide guitar playing. Coming from a songwriter background, he left his band and regular guitars behind and immersed himself in the joy of playing lap style guitar. His minimalistic-yet-expressive style combined with his gift for melody is drawing the attention of both fellow sliders and music lovers in general, and words of appreciation from some of the finest slide guitarists in the world.

Fred has two lap sliding releases out so far - the mellow "Hedgehogs & Elephants" (2009) and the more upbeat "Quit My Job EP" (2011). Here is some music from both releases:
